The thing I think about, when I look at the sky, is the big volcano at the South Pole where all the kids gather together with their blue crayons of so many shades, lining up all jittery and excited for the moment when each one gets their chance to toss their personal crayons down into the Caldera and watch it come back up in smoke and paint the sky another few smidgeons of new shades of blue, then watch it blend in and swirl together in that uniform shade I see in the sky today. That lovely flawless shade that makes me think of childhood and smile wistfully.

Have you been there? Have you taken your own children there,or will you when you have them? I am scared to go back -- it would ruin me to go there and find out they've installed guard rails.
