The genetically engineered lynx Bubastis is, of course, placed into the intrinsic field remover. She learns to reassemble herself and come back, blue and omnipotent.
For the rest of the movie, she separates out and catches all the other characters, gnaws on them for a while, and lets them go again. She keeps doing that until she eats them, completing the predator cycle and proving herself a very successful hunter cat.
Then she howls because she misses the human race that she just ate.
What do you think? Is it a sequel or is it a sequel?
