The omniscient are insufferable.

"Why have a pet when you know that it will die before you do and mourn it?" I asked my toaster, which just happens to know all things. "Unless you buy a tortoise or a parrot, I guess. Or maybe if you expect a very short lifespan yourself. But I digress."

The toaster replied, "Why bother to have a body, when you know that eventually it will betray you?"

I don't think he was making a point of rhetorical wisdom, though. I think he was just bragging about being a toaster.
