Jul. 25th, 2008 10:03 pmGah! My band is in big trouble! Our drummer just left the band.
"I got this chip," he said by way of awkward explanation, "in my skull. To give me perfect rhythm, you know, because I want to be the best drummer I can."
"So what's the problem?" we asked.
"Perfect rhythm is not funky," he said, "It's all the tiny imperfections that make music feel right. We measure time unevenly and we resent anyone who does otherwise. Now I can't drum."
So now we're out one drummer. For obvious reasons, we can't just use a drum machine.
Any advice? The bassist is talking about cloning one.
