So I was at a music and crafts festival today, and I never figured out what it was about or what the theme was or anything. I just went to the park for a friend's picnic, and there were booths and a stage and a bad cover band playing very loud. As far as I could tell, it was a festival devoted to itself, without name or direction.

I did, however, run into an old college friend! He was at a booth buying spices and herbs and oils. He's working for a fire-breathing dragon these days. Mostly doing shopping and errands, since humans have an easier time going to festivals and stores and booths than dragons do.

A modern fire-breathing dragon cares about his breath, and so they send human employees to buy things that will smell good when burned, which means sending people to a lot of hippie businesses. The fire-breathing dragons need cardamom and flax, lemongrass and bay, oak leaves and cedar chips, lightning-struck pine and lavender and sage.

What a great gig! Nice to bump into him!
