Jun. 14th, 2008 06:49 pmI was in the Boy Scouts as a kid, and the best part was always camping. These days, I still enjoy camping but I hardly ever go at all. Scheduling a weekend doing just one thing seems so difficult, and somehow the intentional inconveniences of camping are less appealing when you have a choice in the matter.
So instead I got that kit where you can turn inside out and grow really tiny and go camping inside your own body. (You can get the kit at most outdoor supply places.) You don't need a compass, because you can navigate by proprioception. You don't need to worry about parking or camping licenses, either: you're assumed to consent.
You do need to set up your own picnic tables, though, and you have to be careful to avoid collapsing reality through infinite recursion. It's a good idea to wear some galoshes, too.
Science!
