I remember the starships. I remember breaking ground in the hills of the city, long before the bridges were built.
"We don't have stone for foundation," the tired, sweating foremen told us, "We're going to need to use abstract ephemera to hold the buildings in place. They'll probably be more earthquake-safe, too."
