Pearls

I got home to find the whole thing was underwater. I was surprised, because I live on a second-story apartment.

The cats evolved gills and fins somehow. Most of my stuff was dissolved or ruined, but the furniture was mostly okay. I called the landlord and he confirmed it was intentional.

"I didn't think you'd need notification."

The water is very, very beautiful. The lack of air makes me stronger and more resourceful every day. I make my living harvesting pearls.

And my complexion has become perfect.
