"In person, off screen, Steve Martin is really, really nice. He laughs at other people's jokes, compliments those around him, and he's fun and friendly. Mel Brooks is hostile and demanding. Bill Murray is erratic and mean, but Adam Sandler is sweet and approachable - enthusiastic and caring.
"Does that make Steve Martin more funny? Does it make Mel Brooks less funny? Adam? Bill? What about Woody Allen and his creepy adoptive daughter nonsense? What about Johnny Carson's paranoia and introversion?
"Well?"
