A coworker approached me in the clinic.
"Did the traffic laws all change this morning?" he asked.
"No. Why?"
"All of the sudden, anyone can go in any line, as long as it's on the right side. And you can't stop on freeways. And people are using their signal lights before they turn. Everyone! All at once! I barely avoided about six times."
"Actually, that's how the laws have always been around here," I said.
His face went pale (like a blank white page) with a new, terrible realization. I don't know what it was, but he was pretty upset. He started shaking his fists at the sky and shouting.
"Noooooooooooooo!"
