When I came back from lunch today, there was a parking ticket on my car.
But not a regular one.
"We noticed what a wonderful job you did of parking, and, as a tangible token of our appreciation, the Department of Parking and Transportation would like to award you $25. Please bring this ticket to the DPT office to redeem your parking credit ticket."
Isn't that nice? I always thought that parking tickets were a way for municipalities to use force (and a thin pretext) to generate revenues, but I guess I was wrong.
I'll probably forget, though.
