Peace?

I had no idea alien invasions could be this much fun! I always assumed they'd be scary: lots of deaths, overwhelming odds, not being able to trust anyone for fear they'd be working with the invaders, no food, constant danger, etc.

It turns out this invasion is totally awesome! Just like the movies! Lots of rope-swinging, awesome kung-fu fights, brilliant scientific developments, and a chance to discover that, deep down, I've got what it takes to be a hero! The only person who's actually died so far has been my aging mentor, but only after he explained that I was to inherit his legacy.

It's a surprising pleasure to find that your unrealistic expectations were totally right! Who needs growth when you can have exhilarting safety?
